The respiratory system had efficient unidirectional "flow-through" breathing using air sacs, which hollowed out their bones to an extreme extent. They were warm-blooded (endothermic) active animals. In life, pterosaurs would have had smooth or fluffy coats that did not resemble bird feathers. These are possibly homologous to the down feathers found on both avian and some non-avian dinosaurs, suggesting that early feathers evolved in the common ancestor of pterosaurs and dinosaurs, possibly as insulation. Pycnofibers grew in several forms, from simple filaments to branching down feathers. Pterosaurs sported coats of hair-like filaments known as pycnofibers, which covered their bodies and parts of their wings. Some groups developed elaborate head crests with sexual dimorphism. Their jaws had horny beaks, and some groups lacked teeth. They could take off from the ground, and fossil trackways show at least some species were able to run and wade or swim. On the ground, pterodactyloids walked well on all four limbs with an upright posture, standing plantigrade on the hind feet and folding the wing finger upward to walk on the three-fingered "hand".

Pterodactyloids had narrower wings with free hind limbs, highly reduced tails, and long necks with large heads. Later pterosaurs (pterodactyloids) evolved many sizes, shapes, and lifestyles. Basal pterosaurs were insectivores or predators of small vertebrates. On the ground, they would have had an awkward sprawling posture, but their joint anatomy and strong claws would have made them effective climbers, and they may have lived in trees. Their wide wing membranes probably included and connected the hind legs. Basal pterosaurs (also called 'non-pterodactyloid pterosaurs' or 'rhamphorhynchoids') were smaller animals with fully toothed jaws and, typically, long tails.

There were two major types of pterosaurs. Their wings were formed by a membrane of skin, muscle, and other tissues stretching from the ankles to a dramatically lengthened fourth finger. Pterosaurs are the earliest vertebrates known to have evolved powered flight. They existed during most of the Mesozoic: from the late Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous (228 to 66 million years ago ). Pterosaurs ( / ˈ t ɛr ə s ɔːr, ˈ t ɛr oʊ-/ from Greek pteron and sauros, meaning "wing lizard") were flying reptiles of the extinct clade or order Pterosauria.

I loved Body Beast TEMPO Back and Biceps. Overview of Body Beast TEMPO Back and Biceps The last ab move is the speed mountain climber. This move varies the grip on the EZ bar on each set of reps. The last move is the all-angle bicep with EZ Curl bar. That move is followed by hanging curl (another ab move hanging from a pull up bar). A dumbbell preacher curl where you hang your arm over the back of a bench. That heart pumping move is followed by a lat oblique twist. Next comes a reverse bent-over row with the EZ Curl bar. Slow pull ups are hard! This move was followed by hanging circle (an ab move where you hang from a pull up bar). I found myself using the pull up assist rather quickly in the sequence. One of the killer moves that was super hard was the wide front pullup. The workout starts with a dumbbell pullover followed by a wide plank in & out. The last move goes up the an even heavier weight for 8 reps at a pace of 3 seconds down and 3 seconds up. Then move to a heavier weight doing 6 seconds down and 3 seconds up for 12 reps. So, you select one weight and do 15 reps at a pace of 6 seconds down (eccentric) and 6 seconds up. TEMPO refers to the pace in which you do the exercises. This gives you a nice break in between each insane set!
